Dear Compatriots and Prospective Members,

As you can tell, our Camp website is under construction and being worked on!

REMINDER: Our next meeting will be Thursday, October 15th!

Please note this is the THIRD Thursday of the month!

Mark your calendars NOW to attend!

Where: Slash Church - Fellowship Hall

When: Thursday October 15th – Social Time 6pm-6:30pm

(with appetizers to enjoy)

Dinner will begin at 6:30pm until 7:15-7:30 pm

(with brief break afterwards/before guest speaker)

Guest Speaker/Topic:

Guest Speaker: 2nd Brigade Commander, Les Updike

Topic: “How Richmond Became the Capitol of the Confederacy”

Meal/Cost: $15 per person for an all-you-can-eat meal and includes various snacks to enjoy during social time and throughout dinner. Dinner itself will include MS Benefit BBQ with both Virginia & Carolina style sauce, buns, coleslaw, homemade baked bean dish by our new member, William Freeman, macaroni salad, deviled eggs by Homemades By Suzanne, various beverages and “Nana’s Apple Cake” for dessert!

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the Compatriots of the Hanover Dragoons Camp #827 for their dedication and hard work to support both our Camp and “the Cause”. I include each of you because without each of you this Camp simply would not prosper!

The Hanover Tavern Foundation was INCREDIBLY thankful and pleased with our volunteer work there over the summer of 2015! Kudos to all who helped!! Remember to look over our Camp Officers and Camp Committee Members for Yellow Tavern. .

This is MY Camp, this is YOUR Camp, this is OUR Camp. It is up to each of US to see that the true history of the Confederacy is preserved and our beloved Camp prospers.
